Deputy Chief Power Engineer

Responsibilities:

Manages design work on energy supply issues.

Carries out control over the acceptance into operation of new and repaired equipment, does not allow the acceptance into operation of equipment with detected defects after repair or installation.

Checks the availability of permits for the energy supply of company equipment installed by related departments.

Monitors the performance of work by electrical contractors and other energy supply organizations, supervises the timely and high-quality performance by MSE employees of maintenance and emergency repair work on the company’s power equipment.

Together with a team of installers, he supervises the installation, configuration and commissioning of power systems at base stations and switches of LLC “UMS”.

Monitors the execution of work on loading and transferring equipment, packaging of dismantled equipment before delivering it to the warehouse.

Develops proposals for budget formation, ensures timely submission of the necessary information to higher organizations according to the established reporting form.

Must keep operational records of the presence and movement of assigned equipment and participate in their inventory.

Monitors the accuracy of metering and analysis of electricity consumption throughout the company.

Takes part in the development of measures to improve the efficiency of energy use, reliability, efficiency of electrical installations, and accident prevention.

Exercises control over the rational use of energy resources in the company. Monitors the prevention of exceeding the declared electricity limit for facilities.

Monitors and makes decisions on the purchase and provision of necessary electrical equipment and spare parts to ensure the operation of the company.

Provides preparation of technical specifications and applications for the purchase of electrical equipment, climate control equipment, generators, power supply equipment, batteries and solar photovoltaic stations, spare parts and necessary consumables for the unit.

Takes part in the permanent commission for taking examinations on labor protection and technical operation rules and safety rules for electrical installations of consumers among electrical personnel.

Ensures timely testing (inspection) of protective equipment in accordance with the rules, verification of measuring instruments.

Takes measures to ensure safe working conditions for electrical personnel when operating equipment, during repair, installation and adjustment work at existing enterprise facilities.

Monitors the activities of the MSE by region: checking reports, write-off acts, installation of climate control equipment, generators, power systems, batteries and solar photovoltaic stations, timely maintenance, and correct completion of documentation.

Requirements:

Higher education in the field of energy, at least IV group of approval for electrical safety up to 1000 V.

Work experience in this field for at least 3 years.

Knowledge of laws, regulations, orders, orders of higher authorities, particularly those related to energy, current regulations, rules, instructions and guidelines for the operation and repair of equipment installed at technological facilities.

Must know operating principles, technical characteristics, maintenance methods, design features of equipment; devices, electrical diagrams, installation rules and their safe operation.

Knowledge of a unified system of preventive maintenance and rational operation of equipment.

Knowledge of production capacities, technical characteristics, design features and operating modes of energy equipment, energy-using installations, rules of their operation.

Ability to conclude a contract for the supply of electricity and other types of energy to an enterprise.

Knowledge of the order and methods of organizing production and organizing repair work.

Knowledge of the requirements for rational labor organization during operation, repair and modernization of power equipment;

Knowledge of technical operation and safety rules when working with electrical equipment, as well as rules for acceptance and delivery of equipment after installation and repair.
